Thank you for visiting kevinvandewege.com, our online campaign headquarters for the 2008 State Representative race.

Our fight to reclaim our District seems like it was only yesterday, and much has happened since then. The past two sessions have been tremendously productive, and our success owes everything to the hard work and support of so many committed individuals. Though we have accomplished many things, much remains to be done.

When I left to go to Olympia for my first year as a Representative in 2007, I knew that our District needed strong, principled leadership to work to create the change we so badly needed at the Capitol. Throughout my first term, I have always kept the interests of the 24th District at the center of every legislative decision I've made, and know that our communities demand a legislator who focuses on the basics; creating jobs, keeping taxes low, making health care affordable and supporting our public schools.

Because I love our community and way of life out here on the Peninsula, I will continue to fight hard to get what the 24th District needs. However, I believe that the best way to evaluate a candidate isn't by the promises that they make, but rather by the set of core principles they hold and by their record of making good on the commitments they have made. I hope you'll take a moment to read through this section, as I believe that it will give you a good sense of what my priorities are and what I have done this past term to make progress toward their realization.

The 2008 election is critical for our District's future. From jobs and our economy, to extending health care coverage and improving education, our District and State need strong, principled leadership.
